Write an Appeal Letter: Households are able to submit a formal appeal letter requesting a reduction in the rental amount. A sample FEMA appeal letter can be obtained at the Kākoʻo Maui Resource Centers.
Collect & Attach Supporting Docs: Acceptable documents include paystubs, W-2 form, current mortgage payments, property tax bill, copy of insurance policy, recent invoices for utility payment, or other document.
Submit Your Appeal: In person with your FEMA Recertification Advisor, at the Kākoʻo Maui Resource Centers, at the Lahaina Gateway and Maui Mall, or by email to: FEMA-DR4724-HI-Revocations@fema.dhs.gov

The Disaster Case Management Program (DCMP) offers support to all survivors affected by the Maui wildfires, regardless of FEMA application status. Share your information to get started. Once connected, a DCMP intake specialist will follow up to assess eligibility and add you to the waitlist. A care navigation specialist will then support you by providing resources, answering questions, and sharing updates while you’re on the waitlist.

Are you a homeowner who lived in your home before the August 8, 2023, Maui wildfires? Apply to receive a lot survey at no cost through the Lahaina Homeowner Recovery Program, funded by the Maui Strong Fund of the Hawai‘i Community Foundation
Hawai‘i Community Lending (HCL) has been called on to expand our services under the Lahaina Homeowner Recovery Program to provide vital assistance to up to 500 owner-occupant Lahaina homeowners, helping them prevent foreclosure and qualify for financing to rebuild their homes.

Short-Term Supply Requests consist of items such as Clothing, Food, Toiletries and Household Cleaning Items, and are available to those who are directly impacted by the Maui Wildfires.
Long Term Supplies are open to those directly impacted by the wildfires in need, specifically households that lost their primary residence in the Maui Wildfires.
Please use this form if you are an organization and/or a DCM requesting supplies for your clients and/or multiple households.*Our furniture, mattresses and air purifiers have specific donation criteria based on donor intent. We are required to do additional tracking for each item.

Ho'ōla iā Mauiakama Disaster Long-Term Recovery Group will provide disaster recovery services to individuals and families affected by the Maui Wildfire disaster. Services will be provided regardless of the individual's race, creed, color, gender, ethnic background, sexual orientation, disability, religious preference, immigration, COFA, or refugee status, employing financial policies and procedures to ensure Ho'ōla iā Mauiakama Disaster Long-Term Recovery Group’s assets and those of participating partner organizations are utilized for recovery in accordance with donor intent/restrictions and with direction from the Executive Committee.
